ABOUT METirzah Encarnacion

My name is Tirzah and I am the teacher and artist behind Crafts and Laughs. I have always had an interest in teaching and have a deep joy in helping someone learn something new. I worked as a substitute in my local school system before becoming a private tutor for many years. My husband and I also volunteer much of our time to help others learn about the Bible. We have been doing so full time for the last 12 years.

This little business is very close to my heart for several reasons, but I wouldn’t have started it if it wasn’t for a little girl that I love so much. One of my best friends has a daughter who was struggling with the isolation during our lockdown. Seeing her affected made me want to create a space where she and other little ones could have some fun, get their creative juices flowing and enjoy time with new friends in a safe place. Arts and crafts was a natural choice because it had brought me some comfort when I was feeling down during pandemic and she loves crafting as well! After brainstorming, lots of anxious planning and even more hesitation Crafts and Laughs was born in May 2021!

I am so happy that what started as a way to help my little friend not feel so alone has reached so many others and brought some joy and normalcy during these hectic times. We paint, draw, sculpt and get creative while making new friends! And with zoom as our class room, we make JW friends from all over the world!
